I’m Charis Palmer and I founded Online Banking Review in 2003. At the time I knew a bit about banking and virtually nothing about publishing, but I did know there wasn’t nearly enough collaboration and communication happening between people in the financial services industry. So I set out to fix that.

The world has changed quite a bit since 2003, and thankfully we’re now all a lot more connected.

I’m still trying to work out how to make a living from writing, but I believe there’s real value in connecting the audience I’ve built over the years, and that remains a big part of what I do.

I believe niche and specialist media will play a major role in the future of the publishing industry, an industry that is in the middle of a major cycle of change.

My publishing company Banking Review Media runs regular industry events and works with the industry to influence conversations and harness ideas that will ultimately lead to a better banking experience for everyone.
